“So glad this store exists! Sometimes, you want to see hair and products in person instead of shopping online. The first floor has ALL the products you would need to do your hair or supply your salon. The 2nd floor has hair in a variety of styles & colors.”Kat GoodmanGoogle review · Local Guide
Twelve thousand square feet of hair, and somebody who knows which aisle it’s on.
Two floors on 35th Street. Products, tools and makeup downstairs. Braiding hair and wigs upstairs. 4.4 stars across 371 Google reviews — and when a customer asked for a bell at the hair counter, we put one in.
Door to register
What actually happens when you walk in.
A beauty supply run goes wrong the same four ways: you can’t find the aisle, they don’t have your color, there is nobody to ask, and you lose forty minutes. Here is how the store answers each one, in the order you meet them.
The ground floor
Everything except hair is on the first level — makeup, clothing, hair tools, hair care and skin. Five sections, so you know which way to walk before you’re through the door, and aisles wide enough for two people to stop and talk without blocking anybody.
The braid wall
More braiding hair than most stores have the floor to hold — FreeTress, Shake-N-Go and Outre X-Pression, hanging where you can reach them, in the colors and lengths smaller stores stop at.
The doorbells
The second floor is hair and wigs, exclusively — let someone at the front counter know you’re heading up. There are doorbells at the hair counters and at the wig section, so you ring for help instead of hunting for somebody to ask.
Straight to the aisle
Tell us what you came for and you get the aisle, the section and the shelf. Most people are in and out inside fifteen minutes — not the forty you were bracing for.
The floor
Big enough that the brand you want is still on the hook.
Twelve thousand square feet is not a boast. It is the reason the color and the length you came for are still hanging there on a Saturday afternoon, instead of sold out with a rain check.
- Braiding hair, crochet and twist styles across a full wall
- Human hair and wigs on the second floor
- Hair care, tools, makeup, skin and clothing on the first
- In-store pickup — call ahead and we’ll have it at the counter
The braid wall, upstairs at 315 East 35th.

“The hair and hair product selection here is MASSIVE, and I'm here for it… I was in and out [of] there in 15 minutes; had I not gotten distracted, it would have been 5–10 minutes, as the employees directed me to the exact aisle where my wanted product was.”Tyga M.Yelp review · Elite

“The first floor has makeup, clothing, hair tools, hair care etc. While upstairs has its own shrine dedicated to hair and wigs exclusively. The aisles are nice and WIDE so multiple customers can stop and parlay.”Janeya E.Yelp review

What braiding hair and crochet brands do you carry?
It sounds like you’ve driven over for a color before and left without it. We carry FreeTress Braid — Crochet, Cocoa Curl, Water Wave and Junior — along with Shake-N-Go and Outre X-Pression, including Twisted Up and Passion Bohemian Feed Twist 22″. You’ll also find Brazilian Boutique, Swiss X and Arana. Stock moves — call (312) 877-5717 and we’ll check the shelf before you drive.
What if I don’t know exactly what I need?
A lot of people feel funny about walking in without the right words for it. Most have found that describing the style you’re going for — the look, the length, the color — is enough to get pointed to the right aisle. That is what the counter is for, and there are doorbells at the hair counters and at the wig section if you’d rather ring than hunt.
Where are the wigs?
Upstairs. The second floor is hair and wigs; the first floor holds makeup, clothing, hair tools and hair care. Let someone at the front counter know you’re heading up. There are doorbells at the hair counters and at the wig section — ring one and somebody comes.

Is the store wheelchair accessible?
We’re wheelchair accessible and have gender-neutral restrooms. The second floor, where the hair and wigs are, is up a staircase — if you need a hand, ask at the front counter.
Can I pay with Apple Pay?

Can I hold something or pick it up in store?
We offer in-store shopping and in-store pickup. Call (312) 877-5717 and we’ll tell you what we can set aside for you today.
One phone call
Call first. Name what you want. Then drive over once.
Somebody at the counter can tell you whether it’s on the shelf, which floor it’s on and which aisle. That is the whole difference between a fifteen-minute trip and a wasted afternoon. Would it be unreasonable to check before you drive?
Open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 8 PM. Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
